Four months before the Women's World Cup, France Football Federation has fired head coach Corinne Diacre following an investigation into a "significant divide" between her and her players.

Last month France captain Wendie Renard declared her decision not to play in this summer's tournament until a "significant change" had been made, inspiring Paris Saint-Germain stars Marie-Antoinettte Katoto and Kadidiatou Diani to follow suit.
